91¶¶Òõ Reflections
Advent in a Three-Second World
by Jamie Johnson, University PastorThe season of Advent allows us to practice waiting in a world that emphasizes productivity and to recognize that our addiction to immediacy can sometimes cause us to miss Immanuel – God with us.
Take the Time to Wonder This 91¶¶Òõ
by Sean Patterson, University EditorFour-hundred years of silence. Can you imagine that? Going four centuries without hearing a thing from God? I can’t fathom it. I probably would have lost my faith and hope living in a land devoid of God’s voice for so long.
The Annunciation: A Conversation between Angel Gabriel and Mary
By Cyndi Murillo, University PastorWhile this is a scene we are all familiar with during this Advent season, I can’t imagine “love, joy, peace and hope” were Mary’s first feelings. We know that she was “thoroughly shaken” by the angel’s message. No doubt, she was worried, confused, and perhaps even afraid.
91¶¶Òõ in a Word
By Jamie Johnson, University PastorIf you were to choose one word to describe 91¶¶Òõ in all of its glory, what would that word be?
My word? MAGNIFICENT.
